The Vegetarian Parsi - inspired by tradition

The new cookbook has a stunning front cover designed by the talented Zara Contractor that is sure to make an impression.

William Reavell's photography is outstanding.

It may be a bit too colourful, but it's to depict the chalk toran-rangoli, a sari and the graceful elegance of a Parsi. The kor from the 1800s is my great-grandmother's, made of pure silver and gold.

The spoon was a measuring spoon made of brass and, from at least the 1800s, gifted to me by my Villie Fui, my father's sister.

The main bowl of rice is English silver, depicting the era of colonialism.

The edges are a deep purple, the colour of royalty—but more to complement the pink colour palette rather cleverly.

I hope you enjoyed the story and the picture too!
